Insights
Discounts are powerful tools that affect behavior in grocery shopping – from making a bigger order to save delivery fee, to trying new products because of discounts
Users do not want to make grocery shopping an everyday thing unless its necessary, but rather do it in small batches, almost weekly.
Awareness about ingredients is a big concern, from allergies to doctor’s recommendations, many factors affect what is bought and how much
Although local shops are gateways to the community and have more immersive experience, convenience still wins.
Even after proper planning and execution, quantities go wrong and food wastage is common
Delivery apps have decent quality stuff, except when it comes to fresh and low shelf life products
Users are not loyal to a specific brand or service, convenience and price are bigger factors.

Reflections
The assignment was a great exercise in end to end planning and execution of a UX project. Although I tried my best to make sure I cover all necessary steps, there were some things that are missing:

Interviewed just 5 people, so persona was qualitative and limited in accuracy
Testing, from the wireframing stage and again in the Prototyping stage would have helped polish the designs and help me understand their usefulness.
Visual designs are based entirely off bigbasket’s app, since the task was to recommend new features and not to redesign.
My biases were strong in the beginning and I want to work on shedding them before diving into a project.
